8 Years in the Delta. The Slower Side of Vietnam, Unfiltered.

I’m Hein. I’m not a backpacker on a gap year; I’m a 51-year-old teacher who calls Sóc Trăng home.

For the last eight years, I’ve traded the rush of Western life for the rhythm of the Mekong Delta. I started GoNomadNest to document the Vietnam that doesn’t make it onto the postcards—captured through my Fujifilm lens—from the chaos of Vietnamese classrooms to quiet folding-bike trips on the backroads.

Living here has taught me that the best stories aren't found in "Top 10" lists. They are found in the morning markets, the roadside coffee shops, and the daily reality of life in the provinces.

If you are looking for filtered sunsets and luxury resort reviews, you might be in the wrong place. But if you want a field guide to authentic culture, slow travel, and the honest truth about making a life abroad, welcome.
